Civics-Focused (high school & postsecondary)
High School Civics and Constitutional Law – Created by the the Canadian Constitution Foundation, this free high school civics course was designed with homeschoolers in mind.
Courses on Charter Freedoms – The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms has a series of courses planned (Freedom of Expression out now) that educate students on their rights and freedoms, why they matter, and how the Charter protects them. These courses also include material to foster critical thinking and discussion around the topics.
Liberty + Leadership Program – Organized by MEI (Montreal Economic Institute), this program is an annual, week-long seminar that teaches participants about the need for leadership and engagement to sustain and strengthen our democratic institutions and processes. This open to those 18 years and up. There is an application process for this free program and all meals and accommodations are provided for the week.
Applied Politics and Public Affairs Diploma Program – This postsecondary program at MaKami College (Alberta) equips those who want to pursue a career in politics or public affairs. It is a 2-year, full-time Applied Politics and Public Affairs Specialist diploma.
